Run EndNote application at first, and click on 'Edit Reference' menu item, it will navigate to the reference associated with selected citation in EndNote application. Right click on a citation, on the context menu, you can edit this citation's reference in EndNote application. In the Formatting dropdown box you can change the format of the citation, exclude the author or the year or show the citation in the bibliography only. Highlight the citation you want to change.

Click on Edit and Manage Citation(s) in the EndNote tab.

Click on the EndNote tab to view the CWYW toolbar. The latest version of the EndNote online tools was designed to work with Word 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019 on Windows and Word 2008, 2011, 2016, and 2019 on Mac. If the EndNote toolbar does not appear, restart Word. Inserting citations using EndNote commands in Word (see video below. Citation will appear in your word document as will your bibliography.
